Music label invites auditions for aspiring K-pop idols

Universal Records is currently looking for talented teenage boys and girls who dream of becoming K-pop idols. Those between the ages of 15 and 19 with experience in dancing and singing are encouraged to audition. Prospective candidates are required to prepare an English and Korean song and dance performance, bring their birth certificate or valid ID, and showcase their “killer stage presence.” The auditions will be held on March 16 and 17 at the Universal Tower 1487 in Quezon City.

One success story shared by the record label is Gehlee Dangca, who underwent training after passing Universal Records’ audition process. Gehlee eventually found success on the Korean reality show “Universe Ticket” and is now a member of the Korean girl group Unis. The group is set to debut on March 27 and will have their first fan sign tour in Manila and Cebu in May.

The label expressed their excitement for aspiring performers, stating, “To all the dreamers and performers out there, it is really your time to shine!”
