BTS’ V Dominates Monthly Album Chart with “Layover” Selling Over Two Million Copies

In a recent report by Hanteo Chart, BTS member V’s solo album “Layover” has taken the top spot on the monthly album chart for September. The album sold an impressive total of more than two million copies.

The rankings released by Hanteo Chart revealed that male K-pop acts have dominated the top 10 spots on the chart. V’s “Layover” secured the number one position, selling 2,141,557 copies or equivalent to a physical record index (PRI) score of 2.5 million. The PRI score is a combination of album sales and price, making it the new standard for ranking albums on Hanteo Chart. V is the only artist to have sold two million copies of an album in September.

Riize, a K-pop boy band, claimed the second spot on the chart with their album “Get A Guitar” selling 1.04 million copies or a PRI score equal to its sales figure.

BoyNextDoor’s album “Why..” came in third place with 489,044 copies sold or a PRI score of 566,764.

NCT’s “Golden Age” secured the fourth spot with 297,754 copies sold or a PRI score of 374,108.

Cravity’s album “Sun Seeker” rounded out the top five, selling 283,043 copies or a PRI score of 332,283.
