‘Your Mother’s Son’ set to debut at IdeaFirst Film Festival

A controversial film titled “Your Mother’s Son” is gearing up for its Philippine premiere at the EnlighTEN: The IdeaFirst Film Festival. The movie features Kokoy de Santos, Sue Prado, Elora Españo, and Miggy Jimenez.

Director Jun Lana described the film as a chamber drama focusing on a family that supported Duterte’s rise to power. Lana expressed his intention to present their narrative as a reflection of the current state of Philippine society, marked by widespread corruption blurring the lines between right and wrong.

The IdeaFirst Company will commemorate its tenth anniversary by hosting a film festival at the Gateway Cineplex 18 from April 12 to 14. The event will showcase some of the company’s most compelling and internationally acclaimed films, along with “Behind the Idea” Q&A sessions, Jun Robles Lana masterclasses, and roundtable discussions with directors and writers.
