PLDT and Chery Tiggo face off in a pivotal PVL showdown

In a loaded Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference, the PLDT High Speed Hitters have proven their strength and resilience despite missing key players Mika Reyes and Kianna Dy. With the league’s second-best record, they are in the running to reclaim the top spot.

Coach Rald Ricafort praised the team’s maturity and core strength as they prepare to face the equally formidable Chery Tiggo in a crucial match at the PhilSports Arena on Tuesday. Both teams are on hot streaks, with PLDT on a five-game winning streak and Chery Tiggo on a four-game rampage.

A win for PLDT would tie them with Choco Mucho for the top spot, while a victory for Chery Tiggo would elevate them to joint second place with Creamline. Players like Kim Fajardo and Keisha Bedonia have stepped up in the absence of Reyes and Dy, helping the team maintain its competitive edge.

For Chery Tiggo coach Kungfu Reyes, every win brings them closer to their goal of reaching the semifinals. The team is focused on their big picture and target of making it to the next stage of the competition.

In another matchup at 4 p.m., Petro Gazz and Cignal will also be vying for semifinal positions. The games on Tuesday promise to be intense and exciting as teams battle for a spot in the next round of the competition.
