Quezon City Government to Host Mega Job Fair with Over 9,000 Opportunities

In preparation for Labor Day on May 1st, the Quezon City government is gearing up to launch a month-long celebration with a mega job fair. More than 100 companies will be participating, offering over 9,000 local and overseas employment opportunities.

Mayor Joy Belmonte expressed, “In Quezon City, our goal is to continue providing our QCitizens and job seekers in Metro Manila with opportunities to improve their lives. There is no better way than a job fair where they have multiple choices and can enjoy services such as free ID picture and resume printing.”

This event, in line with the 85th anniversary celebration of QC, is set to be the biggest job fair organized by the city government. It will take place at the City Hall’s Risen Garden from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to both QC residents and non-residents.

Organized by the QC Public Employment Service Office, with support from the Department of Labor and Employment, the job expo will feature big companies like San Miguel Corporation Integrated Merchandising Inc., Meralco Energy Inc., and Robinsons Supermarket, among others.

Additionally, there will be a One-Stop Shop to process relevant requirements, free clearances from the National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine National Police for first-time jobseekers, and free training and seminars provided by TESDA.

Simultaneous job fairs will also be held in SM Supermalls on the same day, with additional job fair events planned throughout the month at various locations in the city.

Overall, the Quezon City government is committed to providing job opportunities for new graduates, students, and job seekers, contributing to the economic growth and development of the city.
