Cool Smashers display lethal depth in game



In a thrilling game yesterday at the PhilSports Arena, Creamline emerged victorious over Galeries Tower with a score of 25-22, 25-17, 25-15. The win propelled Creamline to the top of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference standings, tying with Choco Mucho.

Cool Smashers coach Sherwin Meneses utilized his bench players effectively, with almost every player getting a chance to contribute to the team’s success. Michele Gumabao led the team with 10 points, supported by Tots Carlos and captain Alyssa Valdez with nine and eight points, respectively.

Valdez expressed her satisfaction with the team’s performance, highlighting their experience as a key factor in their recent winning streak. Despite a strong effort from Galeries Tower, led by Ysabel Jamie Jimenez’s 11 hits, Creamline proved to be the dominant force, securing the victory in three sets.

With this win, Creamline now holds a three-game winning streak and looks ahead to their next challenge against Strong Group Athletics on Tuesday in Pasig. Coach Meneses emphasized the team’s high morale and continuous preparation as they aim for their fourth consecutive victory. On the other hand, Galeries Tower fell to a 0-3 record in the conference.
