Thai superstar Ananda Everingham is set to return to the big screen in the third and final installment of the hit action-fantasy franchise “Khun Pan.” Everingham, who has gained fame with roles in Thai and Filipino films, will be joined by fellow heartthrobs, Mario Maurer and Phakin Khamwilaisak, in “Khun Pan 3: Judgment Day.”
The visually stunning film, directed by Kongkiat Komesiri, follows the story of Khun Phantharak Rajadej, a 1940s hero cop known for his use of “superstitious” powers to take down bandits. In the 2018 sequel, set in 1950, Khun goes undercover to pursue two rival bandit groups involved in murder and political intrigue.
Despite the film franchise coming to an end, Everingham expressed his enthusiasm for the possibility of spin-offs and other retellings of Khun Pan’s story. “Khun Pan 3: Judgment Day” premieres on HBO and HBO Go on August 4.
