‘Young Celebrities Illuminate Mental Health and Critical Topics in ‘Senior High”

ABS-CBN and iWantTFC are set to launch a new primetime series titled “Senior High,” which will tackle pressing issues faced by the Gen Z generation. The show will premiere on Monday, August 28 at 9:30 PM.

Starring young actors Andrea Brillantes, Kyle Echarri, Juan Karlos, Elijah Canlas, Zaijian Jaranilla, and Xyriel Manabat, “Senior High” aims to shed light on important and relevant topics such as suicide, mental health, bullying, and peer pressure. The series aims to help viewers understand and navigate these sensitive issues.

Andrea Brillantes emphasized the importance of not romanticizing these topics and expressed her desire for the show to make a real impact and help others take responsibility for their own lives.

The series kicks off with the reunion of twin sisters Luna and Sky, both played by Andrea Brillantes. The two sisters have drastically different personalities. Luna is smart and outgoing, while Sky feels abandoned by Luna and their mother Tanya (Angel Aquino) and is indifferent towards others.

Sky will join Luna at the prestigious Northford High, introducing her to different cliques and groups in school. These include wealthy bullies Archie (Elijah Canlas) and Z (Daniela Stranner), Z’s rockstar boyfriend Gino (Juan Karlos), and their friend Poch (Miggy Jimenez). On the other side are the “good ones,” including Obet (Kyle Echarri) and the young couple Tim (Zaijian Jaranilla) and Roxy (Xyriel Manabat), who harbor their own secrets.

The story takes a dark turn when Luna dies after falling from a balcony. While ruled as a suicide, Sky is convinced that her sister was pushed. Determined to seek justice, Sky uncovers shocking twists and secrets she never imagined.

Directed by Onat Diaz and Andoy Ranay, the same directors behind the hit series “Dirty Linen,” “Senior High” also features a talented ensemble cast including Tommy Alejandrino, Gela Atayde, Baron Geisler, Mon Confiado, Sylvia Sanchez, Desiree Del Valle, Kean Cipriano, Ana Abad Santos, Gerald Madrid, Inka Magnaye, Angeli Bayani, Ryan Eigenmann, Rans Rifol, Rap Robes, Kakki Teodoro, and Floyd Tena.

“Senior High” will air on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and TFC, providing viewers multiple platforms to watch this captivating new series.
