Las Piñas Representative Camille A. Villar recently hosted a special event for the beneficiaries of the Las Piñas Youth Scholarship program. Around 100 young adults took part in the meet-up and enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment, including a film showing of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tours at the Vista Mall in Las Piñas City.
The attendees were treated to an exclusive viewing of snippets from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tours, where they sang and danced along. Additionally, each participant received a Taylor Swift Eras Tour shirt. The highlight of the gathering was the recognition of the Best Dressed attendees, who were awarded prizes. Furthermore, lucky youth scholars had the chance to win gift packs and Samsung tablets through a raffle.
This event showcases the commitment of Rep. Camille to her Las Piñas Youth Scholarship program, which she established in 2019 when she first entered the House of Representatives. Even during the challenging times brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Rep. Camille went the extra mile to support the beneficiaries by donating tablets and e-learning kits, enabling them to partake in distance learning.
The Las Piñas Youth Scholarship program aims to provide financial assistance to underprivileged yet deserving teenagers, enabling them to pursue their education. Since its inception, the scholarship program has already benefited more than 3,500 individuals as of June 2023.
By organizing this special event, Rep. Camille reinforced her dedication to uplifting the lives of young learners, showing them that their hard work is acknowledged and appreciated.
