Alleged Hitman of Teves Terrorist Group Arrested in Nueva Ecija

Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija – On September 7, the Nueva Ecija police arrested Richard Quadra, an alleged hitman of the notorious Teves Terrorist Group, who was also one of the most wanted individuals in Negros Oriental. The arrest took place in Talugtug, Nueva Ecija.

Richard Quadra, a 45-year-old poultry caretaker from Barangay Milagrosa, Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental, was apprehended by the authorities. During the arrest, Quadra was found in possession of a caliber 9mm Smith and Wesson Model SW9C pistol, along with a magazine and bullets.

Quadra is implicated, along with five others, including former Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo Teves, in a series of killings that occurred in Negros Oriental in 2019.

Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, the Nueva Ecija police chief, commended the vigilance of the authorities, emphasizing that it was crucial in the successful arrest of Quadra. He stated, “We remain vigilant in our efforts to hunt law violators and maintain the safety of our residents. This arrest is a testament to the diligence and professionalism of our personnel to put behind bars all wanted persons, especially those notorious ones.”

Now in custody, Quadra will be facing charges under Republic Act 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions, as well as charges related to the Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines. The police will continue their investigation into the activities of the Teves Terrorist Group and their alleged involvement in the series of killings in Negros Oriental.
