Selection process of the Office for Transportation Security (OTS) has become more stringent to ensure that only fit and deserving personnel are promoted. On Monday, 24 April 2023, OTS Administrator Undersecretary Ma.O Aplasca administered the oath-taking of one hundred five (105) newly promoted Security Screening Officers (SSOs) from various airport stations nationwide.
Of this number, 73 SSOs were from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminals 1, 2, 3, & 4, while 32 others were from Caticlan, Ilo-Ilo, Pagadian, Basco, Kalibo, Clark, Tuguegarao, General Santos, Marinduque, Zamboanga, Subic, and Davao airport.
From Intelligence Agent Aide position having a salary of fifteen thousand five hundred eighty-six (P15,586), promotees to Intelligence Agent I position will now receive a monthly salary amounting to nineteen thousand seven hundred forty-four (P19,744) plus other benefits and allowances.
