Vice Ganda ensures support for Awra Briguela’s talent and emphasizes the need for guidance

Vice Ganda denies rumors of leaving Awra Briguela after Makati brawl incident

Popular comedian and TV host Vice Ganda has clarified that he is still managing the career of Awra Briguela following a bar brawl incident in Makati. In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN reporter MJ Felipe for “TV Patrol”, Vice Ganda emphasized that he will not leave Awra, especially now that the young actress needs guidance.

Addressing rumors that he had abandoned Awra, Vice Ganda said, “There’s no truth to claims that I left Awra. I will assist her in this journey.” He expressed his disappointment in others using the incident for “clout chasing” and “clickbait” purposes, making false claims without interviewing him or Awra.

Vice Ganda revealed that he decided not to discuss the issue with Awra immediately after the incident because he was displeased at the time and understood that the actress was still traumatized. “I let her rest first for a few days for her to calm down. We should also consider the fact that she came from a traumatizing experience,” he said.

The comedian-TV host then stated that he had a conversation with Awra and her father, emphasizing that it was driven by concern, love, and support. When asked if Awra regrets her actions, Vice Ganda replied that he cannot speak for the young actress. However, he stressed that he will not leave her during this phase of her life as she needs guidance.

Vice Ganda concluded his statement by acknowledging the challenges of being a talent manager, but reaffirmed his commitment to Awra. “Even if it’s hard, I will not leave Awra,” he said.

Awra Briguela was arrested by the Makati Police on June 29 after a fistfight with complainant Mark Christian Ravana outside a bar in Poblacion, Makati. She was charged with physical injuries, alarm and scandal, disobedience to authority, and direct assault. Awra was released on bail amounting to P6,000 on July 1. Ravana later filed additional complaints against Awra for light threats, grave coercion, and violation of the Safe Spaces Act.
