ABS-CBN’s Noontime Show “It’s Showtime” Suspended for 12 Airing Days, Network to Submit Motion for Reconsideration

The popular noontime program “It’s Showtime” has been suspended by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) for a total of 12 airing days, ABS-CBN announced in an official statement on September 4.

“We have received the ruling from the MTRCB, indicating that ‘It’s Showtime’ will be suspended for a duration of 12 days from finality of the decision,” ABS-CBN stated.

Despite the suspension, ABS-CBN plans to file a Motion for Reconsideration, asserting their belief that there was no violation of pertinent law. Additionally, the network expressed its commitment to collaborate with the MTRCB to ensure the continuation of “It’s Showtime” and its ability to bring joy and entertainment to the viewers.

The network also expressed gratitude to the show’s loyal fans, known as the Madlang People, for their unwavering support.
