New Slope Protection Completed Along Alaminos-Bolinao Road in Pangasinan

Safer and more convenient travel awaits motorists and tourists traveling the Municipality of Bani in Pangasinan with the slope protection works along Alaminos-Bolinao Road recently-completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and DPWH Undersecretary Eugenio R. Pipo, Jr, DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan said that the new protective structure at Barangay Tiep is part of the asset preservation project aimed at improving road conditions and providing better access to residents.

The project with a total project cost of P96.5-million funder under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA) also involves the construction of lined canal to ensure water flow, stone masonry activities, laying of active wire mesh and erosion control mat.

“We are confident that the new slope protection structure along Alaminos-Bolinao Road will improve the stability of the critical curb and lessen the occurrence of landslides in the area, therefore ensuring road access even during heavy rains,” said Director Tan.
