80 people in Maguindanao del Sur likely affected by food poisoning



Dozens of people, mostly children, fell ill after attending a tribal wedding in a remote village in Maguindanao del Sur. The guests complained of abdominal pain and dizziness, with 49 of them admitted to the community hospital but now in stable condition. The patients had eaten chicken stewed with coconut milk during the traditional wedding rite of the Teduray tribe. Local health authorities are investigating the suspected food poisoning incident. The mayor urged caution during food preparation to prevent similar incidents in the future.
