Nedy Tantoco, the leader and visionary of the country’s high-end luxury retail industry, passed away at the age of 77 last Thursday, February 8. Tantoco was the chairman and CEO of the leading specialty retailer SSI Group Inc. and chairman of Rustan Commercial Corp. and Rustan Marketing Corp. She is survived by her partner Patrick Jacinto, three children, and her family of dogs. Her wake will be held from February 10 to February 14 and the funeral mass will be on February 15 at Santuario de San Antonio Parish.
