What Makes Vaultboy’s Music Stand Out

American singer-songwriter vaultboy is set to release his upcoming album entitled “everything and nothing” in May. The album features 12 tracks, with five of them incorporating the word “everything” in their titles. Some of the tracks include “everything hits me at once,” “everything is falling apart again,” and “everything, everywhere (feat. eaJ).”

In an exclusive Zoom interview, vaultboy explained that the multiple mentions of “everything” in his music were intentional. He shared, “After a certain point, yes I did (intentionally). Everything sucks just happened. And then I wrote a song everything hits me at once. It came out last year. When I wrote that song, I was like, ‘Is it weird to have another song that starts with everything?’”

The album also explores the concept of duality, with tracks like “hello, goodbye” and “this is heaven, this is hell” showcasing a mix of lighter and darker themes. vaultboy described the album as a cohesive piece that showcases his versatility as an artist.

One of the standout tracks for vaultboy is “you’re my moon,” a somber love song inspired by personal experiences. He expressed his excitement for the album’s release and shared his anticipation for his Manila show on June 13 at the Podium Hall in Ortigas.

Vaultboy’s journey to success began when his viral hit “everything sucks” gained popularity on TikTok. He has since been dubbed the “King of Sad Songs” by Rolling Stone. As he gears up for his Manila performance, he looks forward to meeting his Filipino fans and experiencing the country’s culture and hospitality.
