US-TSA Invites the OTS to Discuss Future Airport Security Cooperation

Office for Transportation Security (OTS) Administrator Undersecretary Ma.O Aplasca paid a courtesy visit to United States Transportation Security Administration (US-TSA) Attaché Robert Rouland on Wednesday, 12 October 2022.

This is to discuss the capacity development efforts for Philippine airport authorities in the next twelve months, as well as actions to close the observations and implement the recommendations made during the recently concluded joint security assessment of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

In July of 2019, the US-TSA began outlining multiple sustainable security initiatives where the OTS was one of the beneficiaries, alongside the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), under the umbrella of an airport partnership.

Usec. Aplasca and Mr. Rouland were joined by US-TSA Program Analyst Karen Dizon and OTS International Affairs Division Nova Gatmaitan, and Katherine Joy Chavez of the Civil Aviation Security Division.
