House leaders mingle with Kuya Willie

Popular showbiz personality and game show host Willie Revillame paid a visit to the Batasan Complex in Quezon City, bringing smiles to the faces of weary House leaders. Despite their tiring plenary schedule in connection with the P5.768-trillion General Appropriations Bill (GAB) or proposed national budget for 2024, House Speaker Martin Romualdez and other leaders were uplifted by Revillame’s presence.

On Monday, September 25, Revillame had a courtesy call with Speaker Romualdez, who leads the 311-strong legislative chamber. A Facebook post from Deputy Majority Leader and ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo expressed gratitude for Revillame’s visit. The post said, “Thank you sa pagdalaw [for visiting] Kuya Wil…,” showing the warm reception Revillame received during his time at the House of Representatives.

Revillame also had plans to visit his showbiz friends Richard Gomez, the congressman for Leyte 4th district, and Samuel Verzosa Jr., representing TUTOK TO WIN Party-list. Revillame’s short visit brought a momentary break for the House leaders who have been diligently working towards passing the 2024 GAB on third and final reading. The House aims to complete this important task on Wednesday, September 27.
