Erwin Tulfo exposes the issue of ‘delayed sundo’ at the airport

ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo Highlights Plight of Flight Attendants in Facebook Post

In a recent Facebook post, House Deputy Majority Leader and ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo shed light on the common problem faced by airplane passengers. In the post, Rep. Tulfo included a picture of a flight attendant standing at the passenger exit, holding the plane’s receiver, perfectly capturing the unfortunate situation.

Tulfo expressed sympathy for the flight attendant, who was left waiting for a bus to pick up passengers from Puerto Princesa City. “I pity this flight attendant…she waited so long for the bus that would fetch the passengers,” the neophyte lawmaker wrote.

Interestingly, the flight itself was not delayed. However, the bus responsible for transporting the passengers from the plane to the terminal experienced a slight delay. Tulfo expressed his frustration, addressing Philippine Airlines (PAL) directly, stating, “The flight wasn’t delayed, BUT THE BUS FOR THE PASSENGERS WAS DELAYED FOR A FEW MINUTES. Oooooooh, PAL.”

The delay in promptly picking up deplaning passengers can have dire consequences, making it understandable why Tulfo called attention to this issue. Flight attendants play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient disembarkation of passengers. Their waiting time for transportation should be minimized in order to maintain smooth operations and enhance the overall flying experience for passengers.

By shedding light on this particular issue, Rep. Tulfo is advocating for better coordination and timeliness in passenger transportation services. The goal is to ensure that flight attendants, who work tirelessly to ensure passenger safety, do not bear the brunt of delays caused by external factors such as delayed transportation services.

Reactions to Tulfo’s Facebook post have been mixed. Some sympathize with the flight attendant and agree with the need for improved logistics, while others argue that this issue should not overshadow larger challenges in the aviation industry.

In any case, Tulfo’s post has prompted a discussion on the importance of smooth coordination among all stakeholders involved in the air travel process. Acknowledging and addressing such issues is crucial for maintaining efficient and enjoyable travel experiences for passengers.
