PFDA Receives Commendation for 100% Resolution of Citizens’ Concern

Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) received a commendation from the Department of Agriculture (DA) – Internal Audit Service headed by Atty. Christopher R. Bañas for its 100% resolution rate of citizens’ complaints lodged at the Office of the President’s 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center (8888 CCC) from August 2018 to October 2022.

Based on a report, only eleven (11) citizens’ concerns were referred to PFDA for the last five years and all of these were immediately acted upon.

This recognition highlights the PFDA’s commitment to constantly assisting clients and stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction, and upholding public trust.

The 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center serves as a mechanism that allows the public to report complaints and grievances against government agencies, officials, and employees. The hotline also monitors the monthly performance of government agencies and financial institutions through its 8888 portal.
