David Licauco shares his secrets to boosting self-assurance

A recent concert tour featuring David Licauco and Barbie Forteza, called “Sparkle Goes to Canada,” showcased the pair’s talents on stage. Licauco praised Forteza for her support and mentorship during the show, emphasizing their mutual goal of personal growth.

The tour, which also included performances by Rayver Cruz, Julie Anne San Jose, Ruru Madrid, and Bianca Umali, took place in Calgary and Toronto in early April. Despite feeling pressure to perform alongside experienced artists like Ruru and Rayver, Licauco expressed gratitude for the learning experience.

Following the tour, Licauco had to return home early to oversee the expansion of his restaurant chain, Kuya Korea, with three new branches set to open in May. Despite missing out on some group activities in Canada, he emphasized the importance of fulfilling his responsibilities.

In addition to his restaurant ventures, Licauco is currently starring in the historical action-drama “Pulang Lupa” alongside Forteza, Alden Richards, and Sanya Lopez. He is also involved in promoting the barkada movie “G! LU,” featuring Ruru, Derek Monasterio, Enzo Pineda, Teejay Marquez, and Kiko Estrada, shot five years ago but set to release now.

The “G! LU” film centers on seven friends on a trip to La Union, exploring themes of friendship and personal growth. Supporting cast members include Miss Philippines Universe 2023 Michelle Dee, Katarina Rodriguez, and more.

The movie, produced by ALV Entertainment, Benchingko Films, and Rein Entertainment, hit cinemas nationwide on April 24, offering audiences a relatable and entertaining experience.
