Creamline remains the team to beat

Creamline emerged victorious in a thrilling five-set match against Cignal at the PhilSports Arena, showcasing their dominance in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference. The game, which ended with a score of 26-28, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 16-14, highlighted Creamline’s resilience in the face of a determined opponent.

Despite their win, Creamline’s coach expressed the importance of every victory in the tightly-contested standings, emphasizing the competitive nature of the league this season. The team, now holding a 6-1 record, faces stiff competition from teams like Choco Mucho, PLDT, Petro Gazz, Chery Tiggo, and Cignal, all of whom are capable of challenging the reigning champions.

The Cool Smashers, accustomed to a history of dominance, have faced tougher battles in recent games, including a loss to Chery Tiggo prior to their match against Cignal. However, with standout performances from players like Tots Carlos, who scored a career-high 38 points, Creamline managed to secure the win and maintain their winning tradition, preventing what could have been a rare multiple-loss conference for the team.

Carlos’ never-say-die attitude and remarkable performance in the final set were crucial in the team’s comeback after facing three match points from Cignal. The victory solidified Creamline’s position as a force to be reckoned with in the league, despite the growing competitiveness among other teams.
