TNT recruits another Hollis-Jefferson to enhance EASL campaign

Tropang Giga adds Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson as they continue search for first win in EASL

TNT Tropang Giga has made a significant roster move in hopes of turning their fortunes around in the East Asia Super League (EASL). After a winless start to the season, the team has signed Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson, the older brother of their current import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

The move comes as Tropang Giga seeks to bolster their campaign in the regional tournament. Rahlir will be taking the place of Quincy Miller as Rondae’s running mate in the hopes of securing the team’s first win in the EASL.

The Hollis-Jefferson brothers will have their first opportunity to share the court when Tropang Giga hosts Taiwan’s Taipei Braves on December 20 in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson brings with him a wealth of experience and talent, having played basketball internationally in Canada, Finland, and the NBA G-League.

TNT Tropang Giga is aiming to follow in the footsteps of the Meralco Bolts, another PBA team in the EASL, who recently secured their first win in the tournament with a 97-88 victory over Japan B.League champion Ryukyu Golden Kings.

However, the Hollis-Jeffersons will need strong support from their local teammates if they hope to avenge their earlier defeat to the Braves. In their first meeting, Taipei Braves handed Tropang Giga a 106-97 loss.

The addition of Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson represents a significant effort by Tropang Giga to improve their position in the EASL standings and secure their first win in the tournament.
