AP.Bren Crowned Champions of MPL Philippines Season 12

In a thrilling display of esports talent, AP.Bren emerged as the victors of the MPL Philippines Season 12, defeating Blacklist International with a dominating 4-1 score. The intense showdown took place at the EVM Convention Center on Sunday, Oct. 29.

The IESF World Esports champions showcased their prowess by claiming victory in the first three games of the series. However, it was the epic come-from-behind win in the final match that truly solidified their triumph, putting an end to a six-season title drought.

In Game 5, with Blacklist International threatening to force a Game 6, Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo made a perfect initiation that caught four players from Blacklist off-guard. With Marco “Super Marco” Requitano and Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel dealing damage from a safe distance, and Kyle “Kyletzy” Sayson and David “Flaptzy” Canon providing sustaining support in the team fight, AP.Bren executed a flawless four-man wipe, enabling them to push down a single lane.

The Bees sealed their stunning playoff run with a resounding 17-9 victory, with Super Marco leading the charge on his Irithel, boasting a 7-2-6 line. Meanwhile, Kyletzy made significant contributions with a 5-2-6 KDA on the Martis pick. Flaptzy was recognized as the Finals MVP for his exceptional zoning and aggressive play, which allowed AP.Bren to control the map effectively.

Starting strong, the M2 champions secured a 9-2 win in the opening match, and followed it up with an even more dominant 14-2 victory in Game 2. Although Blacklist International did show signs of resilience with a 13-1 win in Game 3, AP.Bren retaliated with a confident 7-2 win in Game 4, moving them one step closer to capturing the MPL S12 title.

Fans were treated to an intense battle between two formidable teams, but in the end, AP.Bren proved to be the deserving champions of MPL Philippines Season 12. With their incredible skills and strategic gameplay, they have reclaimed their status as the home of champions.
