Belle Mariano Receives Listeners’ Choice Award at Billboard Philippines Women in Music Event

Belle Mariano expressed her desire to inspire young girls to pursue their dreams, whether it be in singing, composing, or any other field they wish, as she accepted the fan-voted Listeners’ Choice Award at the first Billboard Philippines Women in Music ceremony. The event took place at Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier, Taguig City.

Mariano, known for her song “Bugambilya,” was the first recipient to be honored at the event, which also recognized other notable women in music. Among the awardees were Regine Velasquez-Alcasid (Powerhouse), Sarah Geronimo (Woman of the Year), Morissette (People’s Choice), Moira Dela Torre (Hitmaker), Ena Mori (Rule Breaker), P-pop girl group Bini (Rising Stars), and Pilita Corrales (Icon).

During her acceptance speech, Mariano shared her journey from singing karaoke with her grandfather as a child to transitioning into a young actress and eventually venturing into music. The 21-year-old artist spoke about her love for music, emphasizing how it allows her to express herself and feel inspired.

Mariano concluded her speech by imparting a piece of advice to the audience, encouraging them to never stop dreaming and to dream big because nothing is impossible. The event highlighted the achievements and talents of women in the Philippine music industry, showcasing their contributions and impact.
