Actress Yasmien Kurdi and husband Rey Soldevilla welcomed their second child recently. Yasmien shared pictures of her C-section delivery on her Instagram account, revealing that they initially planned for a normal birth but had to opt for a C-section based on medical advice. The actress explained that after tests, it was discovered that a normal delivery posed risks due to her thin CS scar from 11 years ago.
“We didn’t proceed because of many high-risk possible scenarios and we opted for CS the day I labored,” Yasmien wrote. During the procedure, it was discovered that the baby had a cord coil, further validating their decision. Yasmien emphasized the importance of the C-section for ensuring the health and safety of both her and her baby.
Yasmien and Rey, who got married in January 2012, already have a daughter named Ayesha. The couple expressed their gratitude to the medical team for their assistance during the birth. This news comes after Yasmien previously announced her pregnancy with baby number two.
