Boy Abunda’s Scholars Include CIA with BA Members Kaori Oinuma and Aljon Mendoza

TV host Boy Abunda celebrated his birthday on the public service program ‘CIA with BA’ alongside sibling senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano. During the show, Abunda revealed that he has been sponsoring the education of two popular celebrities, Kaori Oinuma and Aljon Mendoza.

Although Abunda rarely talks about his scholars, he shared that his only request is for them to promise to educate someone else once they finish their studies. Both Oinuma and Mendoza expressed their gratitude for Abunda’s support, with Oinuma stating, “I’m so thankful for the help I received from Tito Boy to continue my studies. I want to know how I can repay the favor.” Mendoza added, “I am extremely thankful because you helped me return to school after four years. I will never take this blessing for granted, and I know that the Lord will bless you even more because of your kind heart.”

The two celebrities first met Abunda after their stint on the reality show ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Otso.’ Sharing their experiences with the TV host, Oinuma recalled meeting Abunda in 2018 and admiring his love for his mother, while Mendoza fondly remembered Abunda’s advice to always ask questions when unsure.

The episode featured another surprise for Abunda as actress Deborah Sun, a friend of his, made an appearance. Abunda’s actual birthday is on October 29, and he has been hosting the show with the Cayetano siblings since February 5, 2023. The program, ‘CIA with BA,’ continues the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of Alan Peter and Pia, who was a renowned lawyer and host of the show ‘Compañero y Compañera’ from 1997 to 2001.

Viewers can catch ‘CIA with BA’ every Sunday at 11:30 p.m. on GMA7.
