New K-pop Boy Band TWS Unleashes ‘Sparkling Blue’ Debut Album

The new K-pop boy band, TWS (pronounced “Two-Us”), under HYBE and Pledis Entertainment has officially released their debut mini-album “Sparkling Blue” on Jan. 22.

Comprised of Shinyu, Dohon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin, TWS’ “Sparkling Blue” consists of five songs that bring forth refreshing melodies by channeling their gentle and bright energy. It embodies the idea of “Boyhood Pop” with their refreshingly candid approach to music.

As the first boy group to debut under Pledis Entertainment in nine years, following Seventeen’s debut in 2015, TWS introduced their album and performed their lead single, “Plot Twist,” during their media showcase held on Jan. 22.

During introductions, TWS members expressed their passion for music and the aspirations that fuel their commitment to excellence for their fans. Youngjae, Shinyu, Dohoon, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin shared their thoughts on working tirelessly to bring joy and positive energy to their audience as they embark on their musical journey under TWS.

The group’s main track, “Plot Twist,” paints the powerful narrative of venturing into the unknown, backed by a heart-pounding rhythm that perfectly captures the feeling of facing the future with hope and sensation. The song highlights the members’ signature style, which they hope will resonate with their listeners and earn them the recognition as the best rookie of the year in the K-pop scene.

TWS also cited Seventeen as their role model and received valuable advice from the group. They aim to continue their mentor’s legacy of sending out a positive influence through their music, even as they forge their unique identity and style.

The “Sparkling Blue” album is now available on all major global streaming platforms, alongside the release of TWS’ official music video for “Plot Twist” on HYBE Labels’ official YouTube channel.
