She expressed gratitude for finally being able to go home after her challenging experience. Prior to her departure, Ramos asked for help on Twitter to rebook her flight back to the Philippines.

The UAE’s state-run news agency described the rain as a historic weather event, surpassing records dating back to 1949. Unfortunately, the inclement weather claimed lives in both Oman and the UAE.
