Actor Believes in the Supernatural After Personal Encounters

Pepe Herrera opened up about his belief in the supernatural, citing personal experiences that have convinced him of the presence of unseen beings. During a media interview for his horror-comedy film “Bantay Bahay,” Herrera shared, “I believe in those unseen creatures, that it’s not only us living here.”

Herrera even discussed the concept of the “third eye” and suggested that everyone is born with it, but external factors cause it to close over time. He recounted experiences from his childhood, including encounters with strange creatures at his ancestral house in Caloocan.

The actor also shared his filming experience for “Bantay Bahay,” revealing that they shot at an old mansion in Quezon with a dark history. Despite the eerie atmosphere of the location, Herrera did not encounter any supernatural occurrences during the shoot.

When asked how he deals with such encounters without feeling fear, Herrera mentioned the power of prayer and connecting to a higher source. He also discussed his preference for hybrid genres like horror-comedy over straight horror due to its impact on his mental state.

Herrera praised director Joey Reyes for his professionalism and the efficient system he employs in film productions. Reyes, in turn, commended Herrera for his discipline and dedication to his craft, calling him one of the best actors he has worked with.

Overall, Herrera’s belief in the supernatural and his experiences on the set of “Bantay Bahay” shed light on the intersection of faith, fear, and creativity in the world of entertainment.
