Filipino-American actress Nicole Scherzinger emerged victorious at the 2024 Laurence Olivier Awards, winning the Best Actress award for her role in the West-End musical revival “Sunset Boulevard.”
Expressing her joy on Instagram, Scherzinger shared her excitement at being recognized for her work, stating that it was an honor, joy, and privilege to receive the Best Actress in a Musical trophy for her portrayal of Norma Desmond.
The theater legend Lea Salonga also congratulated Scherzinger on her achievement, with the former Pussycat Dolls member sharing a heartfelt video of her emotional acceptance speech as she received her first Olivier Award.
Scherzinger, known for her diverse talents in singing and acting, previously won “Dancing with the Stars” in 2010 and has served as a judge on several television talent shows. Her role in “Sunset Boulevard” contributed to the musical’s success, with the production taking home seven awards out of 11 nominations.
In addition to Scherzinger’s win, former “Succession” star Sarah Snook was honored as the Best Actress for her performance in “The Picture of Dorian Gray” at the prestigious awards ceremony.
