The Philippine National Police (PNP) received a generous donation of 15 life-size statues of St. Michael the Archangel from the La Union Electric Company and Christ the King Religious Group.
The donation was marked by a signing of the Deed of Donation, Turnover, and Blessing ceremony held at the Saint Joseph Chapel in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Police General Rodolfo S Azurin, Jr., Chief of the PNP, personally attended the ceremony along with other senior officials and members of the police force. During the event, he thanked the La Union Electric Company and Christ the King Religious Group for their generosity, saying that their donation will strengthen the relationship between the police and the community.
“As police officers and vanguards of peace, we are called to serve and protect the people. The statue of Saint Michael the Archangel, known as the protector and defender of the people, will serve as a symbol of God’s protection and guidance, and a reminder also that we are not alone in our mission, that with God’s help, we can overcome any obstacle and fulfill our duty to our country and people”, PNP Chief Azurin said in his message.
According to PNP Chief Azurin, the PNP is committed to maintaining peace and order in the country, and with the support of the community, they will continue to work towards achieving this goal.
“The partnership between the La Union Electric Company and Christ the King Religious Group exemplifies the efficacy of alliances and how collective efforts can assist us in realizing our objectives”, Azurin added.
The statues of St. Michael the Archangel, who is the patron saint of law enforcement, will be installed in various police stations across the country. It will serve as a symbol of hope and inspiration to police officers and the public alike, as they work together towards a safer and more secure nation.
