Ten of NCT Falls into Open Stage Lift During SBS Gayo Daejeon Music Festival
K-pop group NCT member Ten had a frightening mishap during the SBS Gayo Daejeon music festival on December 25th. The annual event, organized by Korean TV network SBS, turned alarming for fans when Ten fell into an open stage lift.
Video footage of the incident showed Ten, who is also a member of Chinese boy band WayV, walking and failing to notice the open stage lift due to dim lighting. Consequently, he fell into the hole.
After the accident, Ten reassured fans of his well-being, saying, “I’m fine. Don’t worry. If it really hurts, I’ll tell you right away. Merry Christmas again,” in a post online.
Following the fall, Ten made a strong recovery and reemerged on stage to perform later in the show.
The accident drew comparisons to a similar incident involving K-pop group Red Velvet’s Wendy, who suffered serious injuries during rehearsals for the SBS Gayo Daejeon show in 2019.
The incident, although frightening, ultimately ended with a reassuring outcome for fans and the K-pop community.
