Award-winning actress Jodi Sta. Maria has expressed her admiration for the up and coming leading man, Joshua Garcia, for his groundbreaking role as Renz in their series “Unbreak My Heart.” At their finale media conference held at the Dolphy Theater on October 14, Jodi shared her feelings of honor and luck in witnessing Joshua’s acting skills firsthand in the series.
“I’m just so blessed to be able to experience his talents when it comes to acting, and I know he will have many more projects in the future because his range is very wide,” Jodi said.
Jodi also praised Joshua’s acting style, describing him as an intense actor who always keeps the scenes fresh. “He is a natural, Joshua is really good, no doubt about it,” she added.
However, before the finale, the two stars made headlines due to their intimate scenes in the series. Jodi admitted that working with Joshua on those scenes was initially awkward. But thanks to sensuality workshops provided by the production, she was able to feel comfortable during the shoots.
“Those kinds of scenes are really not easy for me to do, but I’m just so thankful to the production because they have provided us with sensuality and intimate workshops, and we made sure that there is trust and respect for each other,” Jodi shared.
“Unbreak My Heart” airs on GMA Telebabad, Pinoy Hits, and I Heart Movies at 9:35 p.m. from Mondays to Thursdays, with a late-night slot on GTV at 11:25 p.m. The series is also available on GMA Pinoy TV and TFC. Advanced episodes can be streamed on Viu and iWantTFC, with a 48-hour exclusivity.
