More than 2,800 QC police officers and enforcers deployed for Holy Week security patrol



Over 2,800 security personnel deployed in Quezon City for Holy Week

MANILA, Philippines – The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has deployed over 2,800 members from the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) and Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) to ensure safety and order in the city during Holy Week.

According to QCPD, 1,000 police officers, 299 DPOS personnel, and 1,529 TTMD traffic enforcers have been sent out to help maintain peace and order.

Police Brigadier General Redrico Maranan, QCPD Director, emphasized the importance of public cooperation in reporting any suspicious activities or emergencies to helpline 122 for a prompt response.

Additionally, the TTMD has deployed traffic enforcers to manage the flow of vehicles in and around churches in the city.

Quezon City Mayor Ma. Josefina “Joy” Belmonte also extended her wishes for a peaceful and solemn Holy Week observance.

She said, “To our QCitizens, I pray for a peaceful and solemn observance of Semana Santa 2024. Have a blessed Holy Week and may God continue to guide us in this sacred journey.”
