Liza Soberano Unveils “Lisa Frankenstein” Movie Trailer, Set to Premiere in PH Cinemas on Feb. 7

Liza Soberano Stars in Hollywood Film “Lisa Frankenstein”

Liza Soberano, the Filipino actress, has shared the trailer for her first Hollywood movie, “Lisa Frankenstein.”

In the movie, Soberano plays the character Taffy, who is the stepsister of the lead character, Lisa Swallows, played by Kathryn Newton. The trailer offers a glimpse into their relationship as they navigate high school and a unique set of circumstances.

Director Zelda Williams, daughter of the late Robin Williams and Marsha Garces Williams, revealed that the role of Taffy was one of the most challenging to cast. Williams, who is herself part-Filipina, explained that Taffy is “most people’s favorite part of the movie.”

Screenwriter Diablo Cody expressed her admiration for the character Taffy, calling her a “beacon of positivity,” highlighting her protective nature towards Lisa.

“Lisa Frankenstein” is set in 1989 and follows the story of Lisa Swallows, an awkward 17-year-old who unwittingly reanimates a corpse from 1837. The movie promises to be a mix of undead horror and romance and is set to be released on Feb. 7, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The film, distributed by Universal Pictures International, is expected to be a memorable contribution to the genre. #LisaFrankensteinPH
