South Korean girl group ITZY has broken records with the successful release of their latest mini-album “Born To Be.” The album, released on January 8, sold an impressive 123,489 copies on the first day, according to Korea’s Hanteo Chart, earning the top spot on the daily physical album chart.

“Born To Be” is a significant release for the group, as it features solo tracks from each member for the first time since their debut. Notably, each ITZY member contributed to the composition of their respective solo songs. The album includes 10 tracks and was released under JYP Entertainment, Imperial, and Republic Records.

In addition to their chart-topping album success, ITZY’s music video for the lead single “Untouchable” has already garnered 2.83 million views on YouTube. The group is also set to kick off their second world tour, “ITZY 2nd World Tour: Born To Be,” with concerts at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on February 24 and 25.

The news of the album’s exceptional sales further solidifies ITZY’s position as a rising global powerhouse in the K-pop industry. The group’s first world tour, “Checkmate,” saw them perform in eight cities across the United States, as well as in multiple Asian regions including the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, and Taiwan.
