But only for the season. I can’t handle another 10 years anymore.

ABS-CBN Announces Plans to Revive “Gandang Gabi Vice” with Vice Ganda as Host

Manila, Philippines – ABS-CBN, the leading broadcasting network in the Philippines, has revealed its plans to revive the popular late-night talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice,” which will once again be hosted by the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda. The announcement was made by Vice Ganda in a series of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter) on October 22.

Vice Ganda mentioned that if the plans push through, the show might adopt a seasonal schedule, as the host is no longer able to juggle three shows simultaneously. Currently, Vice Ganda is occupied with the noontime program “It’s Showtime,” which is set to resume broadcasting on October 28, and the weekly game show “Everybody Sing.” In her statement, Vice Ganda said, “I was actually asked by the management when I signed my new contract if I wanted to do GGV again. I couldn’t do three shows anymore. Maybe after Everybody Sing, let’s see if I can handle it. But it will be on a seasonal basis. I can no longer handle another 10 years.”

Vice Ganda also shared her reasons for initially deciding to sign off from the show, citing her weariness from having repeat guests. However, she expressed hope that with the collaboration of various networks, a deeper pool of guests will be available. She further added, “To be honest! And in GGV, I just sit and laugh most of the time. Everybody Sing is incredibly exhausting, but it’s all worth it because the objective is not just entertainment, but also public service.”

“Gandang Gabi Vice” aired on ABS-CBN from May 11, 2011, to March 8, 2020. Fans and netizens have shown their support for the Kapamilya Network’s plan to bring back the beloved program.
