LeBron criticizes ‘ridiculous’ US gun laws in wake of Vegas shooting

LeBron James Calls for Tougher Gun Laws After Las Vegas Shootings

In the wake of a shooting at a Las Vegas college campus that left three people dead, NBA superstar LeBron James has once again called for tougher gun laws in the United States. James, who has been an outspoken advocate for tighter gun control legislation, made the comments after arriving in Las Vegas for the Los Angeles Lakers’ semifinal clash with the New Orleans Pelicans.

“It just goes back to what I said before about guns in America. I think it’s such a longer conversation, but we keep dealing with the same story, this same conversation every single time it happens, and it just continues to happen,” James told reporters.

“The ability to get a gun, the ability to do these things over and over and over, and there’s been no change, is literally ridiculous,” he added.

This is not the first time James has spoken out about the issue of gun violence. In the past, he has addressed the topic after shootings in California, issuing a rallying cry against gun violence and racial injustice.

“It’s ridiculous. The fact that we haven’t changed anything — it’s actually been easier to be able to own a firearm. It’s stupid,” James said.

The shooting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas comes as the city prepares to host the NBA’s in-season tournament finale. The incident has once again reignited the debate about gun control in the United States, with James adding his voice to the calls for change.
