Atienza praised Nieto for his leadership role, creating shots, and defending, stating that his performance was expected due to his championship pedigree in Ateneo under coach Tab and his multiple wins as a captain.
In the preseason, Nieto has been averaging 14.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game for the FiberXers. His performance also allowed his teammates, including Adrian Wong and Justin Arana, to shine. Atienza expects Nieto to continue playing consistently in the upcoming real season in October, emphasizing the importance of the young core of the team.
