Janine Gutierrez and Zanjoe Marudo share how their characters in ‘Dirty Linen’ won over critics and gained a strong following

ABS-CBN drama-revenge series “Dirty Linen” has received positive feedback from viewers as it nears its final episode. Lead actors Janine Gutierrez and Zanjoe Marudo have been keeping an eye on the comments about the show and are pleased to see compliments and disappointment over its impending end. The show, produced by Dreamscape Entertainment for ABS-CBN, premiered in January and will conclude on August 25.

At the beginning of the series, Gutierrez and Marudo noticed negative comments from viewers who had not yet seen the entire show. However, as the story unfolded and interesting twists were introduced, the audience became more engaged and invested in the show. The actors credit the producers for taking a risk in presenting the stories of over 20 characters in a teleserye, and they are proud that the audience has stuck with the show until the end.

Gutierrez shared a comment from a viewer who initially criticized her but ended up liking her character. Marudo also highlighted that viewers are now expressing their desire for the show to continue and have become invested in the overall series rather than just the individual portrayals.

In “Dirty Linen,” four houseworkers of a wealthy family mysteriously disappear, leading their family members to seek revenge against the prominent family. The story follows their infiltration of the household under different identities as they expose the family’s dirty secrets. However, obstacles arise when Aidan, the family’s eldest son, played by Marudo, becomes involved.

Gutierrez explained that her character, Mila, loved Aidan but also had a strong desire for revenge due to her own family’s involvement. Marudo described Aidan as a pitiful character who has been shaped by his experiences and struggles to find explanations for the events unfolding around him.

In addition to their roles in “Dirty Linen,” Gutierrez and Marudo will be attending a fancon/thanksgiving show in Sacramento, California, on August 26, along with their co-stars and singer Jed Madela. They are excited to meet the fans who have supported the show and feel grateful for the support they have received.

“Dirty Linen” airs weekdays at 9:20 p.m. on the Kapamilya channel, A2Z, and TV5.
