Maricel Laxa awarded Six Star Medal for completing Boston Marathon at 54



Actress Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan recently completed her seventh marathon, the Boston Marathon, and earned a prestigious Six Star Medal for completing the six World Marathon Majors. The 54-year-old Maricel expressed her disbelief and joy after running for five hours to receive the esteemed medal. She dedicated her achievement to her five children and her son-in-law.

Joining Maricel in the Boston Marathon were host-writer Tim Yap and her daughter, Hannah. It was Hannah’s first World Marathon Major, and she finished in under four hours. Maricel expressed her gratitude and pride on social media for running the race with her daughter.

Numerous celebrities and friends congratulated Maricel on her accomplishment, including Anne Curtis, Judy Ann Santos, Bianca Gonzalez, and Drew Arellano. Maricel’s husband, Anthony, had also earned his Six Star Medal before the pandemic.

The Boston Marathon also saw former Vice President Leni Robredo’s daughter, Tricia, participating in the 5-kilometer race. Overall, it was a memorable event for Maricel and her family, with their dedication and perseverance shining through.
