“Eat Bulaga” Tops TV Ratings in Noontime Show Competition

The hosts of the popular noontime show “Eat Bulaga” expressed their gratitude to viewers after their program reportedly dominated the TV ratings on July 19. According to data from market research firm AGB Nielsen, “Eat Bulaga” received an average program rating of 4.12%, surpassing competing shows “E.A.T.” and “It’s Showtime.”

Isko Moreno, Paolo Contis, and Buboy Villar, hosts of “Eat Bulaga,” took to their respective Facebook pages to share the ratings. They thanked their viewers, management, creatives, and production staff for their continuous support.

Moreno expressed his gratitude in his post, saying, “First of all, many thanks to God. Second, [thank you] to the viewers for trusting us neophyte ‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts. Thirdly, [thank you] to the management, creatives, TAPE Inc.’s production staff and to GMA Network for continuously supporting EB.”

Contis and Villar also expressed their appreciation by sharing the TV ratings report along with photos of the entire “Eat Bulaga” host lineup. Bullet Jalosjos, an executive from TAPE Inc., shared the same photo through his Instagram Stories.

Meanwhile, the hosts of “E.A.T.” – Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon (TVJ) – recently filed copyright infringement and unfair competition complaints against TAPE and GMA Network. They requested that the court order TAPE and GMA to cease using the “Eat Bulaga” name, logo, and other elements associated with the revamped show. TVJ is also seeking damages totaling P20.98 million.

Despite the ongoing legal dispute, “Eat Bulaga” continues to thrive in the TV ratings and remains a favorite among viewers.
