Meta Verified has been launched for a limited number of Facebook users residing in the Philippines. Some Filipino users have shared their experience on Facebook, stating that they were able to access the Meta Verified feature by subscribing at a monthly cost of Php499. However, this feature is currently not available to all users.
For those using the web app, Meta Verified is priced at Php420 per month.
Meta announced this feature in February, seemingly as their version of Twitter Blue. Subscribers to Meta Verified on Facebook and Instagram will not only receive the verified badge next to their names but also enjoy enhanced security measures, improved customer support, and additional stickers, for some reason.
In June 2023, Meta Philippines opened the waitlist for this service. Presently, the company has started rolling out Meta Verified to a select group of users.
Compared to Twitter Blue, which costs Php440 per month (Php383.33 per month for the annual plan), Meta Verified is evidently more expensive. This discrepancy can be attributed to the fact that being verified on Instagram grants the verification badge on Meta’s latest platform, Threads. Whether it’s worth the investment is up to you to decide.
