LinkedIn Launches Three New Games for Users

To access these games, users can simply visit linkedin.com/games and log in to their account. From there, they can choose one of the three titles and start playing. Here is a brief overview of each game:

  • Crossclimb: Players receive a clue for a word that they use to create a ladder of words. Each subsequent entry has one letter off from the one before. Completing the list and rearranging the words reveals a clue to the top and bottom words. Guessing them right leads to a win.
  • Pinpoint: This game is a mix between Pinoy Henyo and Hangman. It features five hidden words that share a specific characteristic. With each guess, the game reveals a word, and players win if they guess correctly in fewer than five tries.
  • Queens: Similar to the Japanese number grid game Sudoku, but without numbers. Players must place queens so that none touch each other and there is one in each row and column.

While some may be puzzled by the inclusion of games on a job posting website like LinkedIn, the platform explains that games can help deepen and reignite relationships at work. By introducing thinking-oriented games like Pinpoint, Queens, and Crossclimb, LinkedIn aims to provide a platform for users to compete with their connections, spark conversations, and break the ice, as games have the ability to forge relationships.
