BDO CMC joins the global accountancy network
Cruz-Marohombsar and Company (CMC) in The Philippines has officially announced joining BDO, the fifth-largest accountancy network in the world, under the new name BDO CMC. This move reflects a combined effort to maintain local roots while tapping into a strong global network.
“We are committed to providing our clients with exceptional service and advice, whilst maintaining the utmost integrity,” said BDO CMC Managing Partner David V. Cruz in a recently released statement.
Cruz brings 20 years of professional experience with the Philippines’ Big 4 firms, providing audit, advisory, and outsourcing services to multinational and local clients across a multitude of industries. He is joined by his deputy, Mohammad Zidni Marohombsar, who brings nearly two decades of professional accounting experience, including stints as a specialist on matters of the public sector, as well as project and public financial management to multilateral development organizations.

This core group was formed at the start of 2021 with the goal of elevating the country’s public accounting practice by delivering quality service with impeccable commitment and integrity. As they are formally appointed into the BDO network, BDO CMC is now positioned as a leader in the Philippines.
The BDO network is an international network of independent public accounting, tax, and advisory firms, which are members of BDO International Limited, a UK company limited by guarantee, and perform professional services under the name of BDO (‘the BDO member firms’). As of September 30, 2022, the BDO network boasts a total combined fee income of more than US$ 12.8 billion, representing a year-on-year growth of 12.1 percent. The BDO member firms provide professional services in 164 countries, with 111,307 people working out of 1,803 offices worldwide.
BDO CMC, a Philippine partnership, is a member of BDO International Limited and forms part of the international BDO network of independent member firms.
