PCpl Noel Ogano from Mayoyao, Ifugao is a member of QCPD SWAT Team who responded to a reported indiscriminate firing that transpired at about 11:30 AM on November 13, 2022 at Blk. 31, Brgy. Pasok Putik, Quezon City.
Upon receiving the report about the incident, PCpl Ogano and his fellow QCPD personnel immediately responded for a follow-up operation against the suspect, who was identified as Martin Luther Nunez, 42 years old, cadet, on board a colored white Grandia.
However, during negotiation at the suspect’s residence in Blk 11 Lot 4, Palmera Homes, Nova East, Maligaya Parkland, Brgy 177, Caloocan City, the suspect opened fire against the operatives, prompting them to return fire which lasted for about half an hour.
The SWAT team threw tear gas that suffocated the suspect, leading to his neutralization.
Unfortunately, PCpl Ogano died during the encounter and caused an injury to Pltcol Jerry Castillo, Deputy Commander, DMFB.
The whole PNP family mourns for the loss of our brave comrade who offered his life while fulfilling his sworn duty.
