Two drug traders in Sorsogon caught with over P14.2M worth of shabu

Authorities in Sorsogon province made a significant drug bust over the weekend, apprehending two major drug traders and seizing over P14.2 million worth of crystal meth. The operation took place in Matnog town on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of Paniyaris Imam Bora, 20, and Hamza Rataban Macauco, 54, both from Lanao del Sur. The suspects were found with a significant amount of shabu, sourced from Metro Manila and intended for distribution in Mindanao. Following their arrest, the individuals were placed in custody at the Matnog police station and are now facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. This operation marks a crucial step in reducing the presence of high-value drug pushers in the region and preventing the illicit drug trade in Bicol.
