Ruru Madrid, a popular actor from GMA Network, is set to star in the action-packed series “Black Rider,” which will premiere on November 6. Produced by GMA Public Affairs, the show combines elements of heroism, revenge, justice, and family drama.
In the series, Madrid plays Elias Guerrero, a motorcycle driver for the delivery app Biyahero. He assumes the alter ego of “Black Rider,” a vigilante who battles the notorious Golden Scorpion syndicate. To prepare for the role, Madrid underwent intensive training in hand-to-hand combat, motocross, and martial arts.
Madrid expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the series, stating that not all actors get the chance to do an action series. He promised to give his all in portraying the character of Elias and delivering thrilling action sequences to the audience.
The show’s storyline, which follows Elias’ transformation from an ordinary motorcycle driver to a symbol of justice and hope for the people of Manila, is expected to resonate with Filipinos, given the country’s significant number of motorcycle riders.
Joining Madrid in “Black Rider” are Matteo Guidicelli, Yassi Pressman, and Katrina Halili, with a special appearance by Kylie Padilla. The series features a talented ensemble of actors, including renowned action stars Zoren Legaspi, Raymart Santiago, Gary Estrada, and Raymond Bagatsing.
